Gov Buni sacked as APC Chairman, replaced with Gov Bello as ‘sole administrator’
Information reaching us says Governor of Yobe State, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, has been removed as Chairman of the Nigeria’s governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
Prime Business Africa, which broke the news it described as authoritative report Sunday night, said Governor of Niger State, Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, had taken over the party’s affairs as ‘sole administrator’, following the sack of Buni.
It was further gathered that Governor Buni had left the country on what those loyal to him said was a ‘medical trip.’
Sources within the highest echelon of the party, however, said Sunday night that the Presidency and the APC governors were miffed at Buni’s conduct and collusion with a few colleagues to undermine the interest of the governing party.
Impeccable sources confirmed that then president approved Buni;s sack and Bello’s appointment shortly before leaving the county to London Sunday afternoon, the report said.
