Governor Bangudu orders release of N2.7bn for Kebbi pensioners
Governor of Kebbi State, North West Nigeria, Governor Abubakar Bangudu, on Wednesday ordered for the release of 2.7 billion Naira to 2,005 Pensioners from state, local governments and primary teachers across the state.
The order was contained in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Dr Usman Shehu Dakingari which made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi indicated that the funds which is the second batch of payment of retirees of the state represents 100 per cent and will cover up to January, 2017.
The statement further indicated that Ministry of Finance assured that all the affected retirees will be paid their benefits immediately.
The statement however requested the affected retirees to conduct themselves during the payment and avoid spreading rumours on how the payment will be.
It would be recalled that the beneficiaries of this payments have been pleading with the government of Kebbi State to approve the funds to them which was not approved until now.
