For failing to trust own country electoral system except by US assurances, PDP becomes a laughing stock, Bosun Oladele replies Bwala
*Says party wants to govern a country it doesn’t believe in

“If the same PDP will look for validation of their warped thought process beyond the shores of Nigeria, then, it puts a big question mark on their capability and belief in their own country, our laws and processes,” Bosun Oladele said.
Secretary General, South West Agenda for Asiwaju 2023 (SWAGA’23) and former Member Federal Constituency, Hon. Bosun Oladele, has described as laughable comment by a spokesman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Mr. Daniel Bwala, distrusting the same country his party seeks to rule.
Bwala had, while featuring on a Channels Television’s interview programme on Monday, stated that his party’s leaders were talking to United States and that they had confidence in the 2023 general elections only because the American authorities had assured them of a free, fair and credible election during the process.
Reacting, Hon. Oladele, who is a former Oyo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation during the Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Administration, said, “It is laughable if PDP is serious about governing a country and couldn’t even trust a system they partook in building.”
He wondered how the opposition party leadership and membership could be going around holding meetings with American authorities over election that will be held only on the soil of Nigeria by Nigerian authorities.
“As far as I know, INEC (Independent National Electoral Commission) is still the regulatory authority and umpire for elections in Nigeria as provided for in our laws. INEC has developed the system and has conducted various by-elections which even the PDP itself has praised as successful, free and fair under the Buhari administration.
“INEC is the legally constituted body and the only one by virtue of the joint provisions of our constitution and the Electoral Act to organize and conduct elections in Nigeria and the PDP cannot deny this.
“If the same PDP will look for validation of their warped thought process beyond the shores of Nigeria, then, it puts a big question mark on their capability and belief in their own country, our laws and processes.
“The party and its array of spokespersons and media handlers are not to be taken seriously. Never!”
