Born: 1382 h in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
Age: 58 years old
• Completed the memorisation of the Quran at the age of 12.
• Worked as an Imam and Khateeb in a number of mosques in Riyadh, the last of which was the Sheikh Abdul-Razzaq ibn ‘Afify Mosque in Riyadh.
• At the age of 22 in 1404 / 1984, appointed Imam & Khateeb of Masjid Al Haram. His first Salat was Asr Salat on 22 Sha’ban 1404 h (23 May 1984).
• His first Jumuah Khutbah was delivered on 15 Ramadan 1404 h (15 June 1984).
• Head Imam of Masjid Al Haram for over a decade.
• Appointed President of the Two Holy Mosques on 17 Jumada al Akhir 1433 h / 8 May 2012 at the age of 51.
• Until now, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Sudais is the longest serving Imam of Taraweeh / Tahajjud in Haramain, having led since his year of appointment (1404) until present.
• Voice of the Dua al Khatm in Ramadan since 1412 h / 1992, succeeding Sheikh Abdullah Khulaifi (رحمه الله).
