Ex-Minister, Adebayo Shittu, Attah of Aiyede Kingdom, Oba Orishagbemi, Lagos politician, Hon. Jubril, mourn Ajimobi’s death

Immediate past Minister of Communications, Dr. Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu, His Royal Majesty the Attah and Paramount Ruler of Aiyede Kingdom, Ekiti State, Oba Alhaji AbdulMumini Adebayo Orishagbemi, and former Chairman Agege Local Government Lagos, Hon. Jibril Abdulkareem, have expressed shock over the sad news that former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Ishaq Adeyemi Abiola Ajimobi, was dead.
In a message to The DEFENDER Friday afternoon, the three eminent Nigerians said the news of Ajimobi’s death was received with shocking for the kind.

Shittu, a colleague of Ajimobi’s father as Old Oyo State Law Maker, said: “I received the news of the death of my brother, Senator Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi, the former Governor of Oyo State with rude shock. He was a very great, eloquent and quintessential leader.
“His services to our dear Oyo State, Nigeria and our Party cannot be forgotten in a hurry.
“I sincerely condole with his family, especially his Wife and Children; the Government and the good people of Oyo State.”
The former Minister particularly greeted, “President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR; Professor Yemi Osinbajo, GCON, Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Leaders and Members of the All Progressives Congress both in Oyo State and at the National level over this unfortunate loss.”
May Almighty Allah grant all of us the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss. May Allah also grant his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss, Dr. Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu, Former Minister of Communications, said in the message he personally signed and sent to The DEFENDER.
In the meantime, the Attah of Aiyede Kingdom, Ekiti State, where Ajimobi and his late ‘uncle’ Alhaji Kola Animasaun were Aare and So’tofaye, respectively, Oba Alhaji AbdulMumini Adebayo Orishagbemi, has described the former governor’s death as too sad to bear in his heart.
He said: “Senator Ajimobi will always make me remember Alhaji Kola Animasaun and his own aunty, still living, Alhaja Modupe Ajimobi Nee Animasaun. And I remember the day his convoy as Oyo State Governor was driving past. Seeing me and Alhaji Animasaun, he stopped, came down and prostrated. That was one.
“No matter what, Ajimobi will be remembered for many of his good ways, his eloquence, ability to carry himself and crack jokes in ways that make the sorrowful forget his worries. Moreso, as a very important chief of my kingdom, the Aare of Aiyede Kingdom, he will be missed seriously, I must confess.”
The Ekiti monarch prayed that Almighty Allah will accept, keep and repose his gentle soul in Al-Jannah Firdaus, even as he sympathised with the the entire Ajimobi and Animasaun families, government and people of Oyo State and the National Assembly where he was former senator in the early period of the ongoing Fourth Republic.
In his condolence, Hon. Jubril Abdulkareem was sad at the death of the Ibadan politician and pray Allah to repose his soul in Al-Jannah Firdaus.
