DSS invites Sheikh Gumi
By BASHIR ADEFAKA
Information reaching The DEFENDER Friday afternoon has it that controversial religious cleric, who is believed to have been hobbnubbing with opposition politicians and killer bandits, Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, has finally been invited by the State Security Service (SSS) otherwise known as Department of State Service (DSS).
Although details of his invitation was not rightly available, this online newspaper can authoritatively report that the cleric has truly been invited by the secret service agency.
In his swift response to our whatsapp enquiry for authentication purposes, Spokesman of the DSS, Dr. Peter Afunanya, confirmed the development.
“The Service invited Sheikh Gumi. And it is not out of place for it to invite any person of interest,” DSS Spokesman told The DEFENDER in a two-sentence reply message Friday evening.
