“No come create bigger problems for us and then cut and run away. Just like you did in Afghanistan and other places. We shall change our government democratically and hopefully elect leaders who can address the insecurity and other issues bedeveling our country.”
In their separate reactions to Thursday November 6, 2025 media report by The DEFENDER Newspaper, some Nigerians most of them public affairs analysts say it is of no use the Donald Trump-led United States of America sends troops and military equipment to carry out an operation it cannot explain on the soul of Nigeria.
One of them in particular, Dr. Uche Diala, said for whatever reason of insecurity killing though not only Christians but Muslims and even Ifa worshippers, there would be no need for America to come and carryout a change of government through an undemocratic manner as the people themselves would change their “non-performing” government and elect a new one that will tackle the issue of security challenges for all Nigerian across religions, tribes and ideologies to live in peace.
The DEFENDER Newspaper had earlier on Thursday published a report titled, “‘CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE’: US means business as military submits plans for Nigerian operation to Dept of War – Report”.
Reacting to the report, Dr. Diala, who started with a hashtag “#OgaTrumpStopThatJoke”, said, “No come create bigger problems for us and then cut and run away. Just like you did in Afghanistan and other places.
“We shall change our government democratically and hopefully elect leaders who can address the insecurity and other issues bedeveling our country.”
He paused a while and asked, “By the way, who, what and where exactly are you planning to strike in Nigeria?
“Because Christians (just like Muslims and Ifa worshippers) are being killed across Nigeria; East, West, North and South, by different actors and for varied reasons.
“So, be ready to set fires on multiple fronts, engage for months and maybe years and probably put boots on the ground. I hope you are really ready.
“‘Anaghi e ji ihe a na agba na nti agba n’anya’ (You don’t use an ear pick for the eye). Me, I don talk my own,” said Uche Diala.
Corroborating Diala, who is also a member of the coalition’s opposition struggle in the country, in their Progressive Roundtable, Alexander Gaadison described the Trump’s threat as a joke taken too far.
“Honestly I see this as a joke taken too far. While the security situation in the country is much alarming and continues to escalate with the government clearly showing its complete incompetence in taming the situation, it is however going to be more disastrous if America sends their troops into the country.
“Moreover the very reason for sending the troops alone is what spoils the whole “coming to defend Christians” why if we must be truthful, the insecurity in Nigeria does not target only Christians but everyone.
“I also suspect American coming that there is more to it than just defending Christian Genocide. I think there is an underbelly motive being hidden under the cover of Christian genocide. Any genuine Nigeria should not be excited. We may live to regret it if America sends her military to Nigeria,” Gaadiso contributed.
This global online newspaper has reported that “In what looks like Nigeria will soon join South Sudan and Sudan as war zone among nations targeted by the United States of America in the ongoing struggle for continued relevance in power dominance being challenged by the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China, recent threat to invade he world’s most populous black country under the disguise of helping to stop “Christian genocide” is gathering momentum.
“This is as US military submitted contingency plans for potential strikes on the Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led, following a directive from President Donald Trump to prepare for possible action over the claim believed to be false.
“The New York Times, according to Premium Times in Nigeria, reports that the US Africa Command has drawn up and sent its options to the Department of War this week upon the request of Secretary Pete Hegseth.”
