DEFENDER PERSONALITY: Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, the INRI Cathedral chief
By BASHIR ADEFAKA
For eight years now I have been in close contact with a Nigeria’s frontline cleric, who has spent his human energy and financial wherewithal to uplift the course of the faith while also contributing a great deal of opportunities and progress to better life of humanity. He is His Eminence Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele, JP.
Primate Ayodele is Founder and Head of INRI Evangelical and Spiritual Church that is expansively situated on wide space of land at Oke Afa, Isolo, in Oshodi/Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State. He is a man of God that, on the physical ground, can be projected for greatness award by his detectable pure heart to both Christians and Muslims.
Ayodele is ‘unputdownable’ when it comes to talk of men of God who mean well for humanity and offer right guidance to followers in faith. At a time many people use religion as cover for the perpetration of all evils, Primate Ayodele stands out as an activist-like Servant of the Most High God, whose predictions cannot be described as laden with pretentions.
To DEFENDER PERSONALITY, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele speaks more as spiritual adviser inspired by the spirit from the Most High God to say what is supposed to be a guide to leaders and authorities, either within or outside of Nigeria.
In most of his Warnings to the Nation (WTN), since 2016 I have been relating with him in my days as Vanguard Journalist up to The DEFENDER currently, he has been more of helping the society with right guidance about events to happen and providing authorities concerned with spiritual guidance to avert any such impending event having to do with calamity and gear up to do more of others connecting with fortunes.
The Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State-born spiritual leader has sponsored Muslims on Holy Pilgrimage to Makkah and Madinah just like he has naturally done for Christians visiting the Palestinian capital of Jerusalem and other holy sites in Israel. He has funded the registration and general logistics for the writing of WAEC, JAMB and many professional examinations undertaken by Christians, both within his INRI Church community and across Christian denominations in and outside Nigeria, as well as Muslims. Point to note here is when he does these things with a line of words saying, “All human beings are the same in the sight of God and so they deserve my support”.
I have particularly witnessed occasion where Primate Babatunde Ayodele sold a car that was worth N1,000,000 as at the time of holding to a Church member for N8,000. I have also witnessed his activities putting smiles in the faces of many widows across faiths without discrimination and without the temptation of asking any Muslim among them to convert to Christianity to access such favour. He does this in the same country where a notable bishop ounce publicly declared that Muslims do not deserve his money, doing that even to his own blood system. From the standpoint of this, Primate Ayodele is a great man.
He has given a mini-flat accommodation out for N1,000 per month totaling N12,000 per year in the heart of Lagos at a time such level of house rent was going for N300,000 per year. What could be more! Whereas so many Ekiti persons are proud to be identified with him being their son, father and of age group, I, as an Ondo person, am proud to be identified with because the success that Ekiti claims today of him was made possible by my own Old Ondo State. It was the Attah of Ayede Kingdom, Ekiti Sate that once said “Omo t’o ba ti nse daadaa, Omo gbogbo Aye ni, meaning: a doing well person will always be claimed by all”.
In no distant time, this fantastically structurally designed and exceptionally energetic Primate Ayodele will be brought live on this platform, DEFENDER PERSONALITY, to speak to our growing readership across Nigeria, Africa and the world about himself, his spiritual calling, reason for choosing the path of spending for humanity’s good while also combining that with the busy schedule of his duty in the Lord’s Vineyard at INRI.
Until then, all hail him, the man that has continued to remain the Journalist delight for decades untiring!
