SAD! Nigerian-born Doctor, Alfa Sa’adu, dies of Coronavirus in UK

Sadly, the Galadiman Patigi and renowned medical doctor of Nigerian descent, Dr. Alfa Sa’adu Patigi, has been lost to the ravaging deadly disease, Coronavirus.

According to an announcement by his family, the Nigerian-born doctor died in London, United Kingdom, on Tuesday at the age of 68.

He was until his death a physician at the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust.

“Today (Tuesday) at approx.. 7.30am, Dr. Alfa Saadu (my dad) died of the Coronavirus. He had been fighting the virus for 2 weeks but could not fight anymore,” Dani Sa’adu, his son, said on his facebook page.

Describing his father as a living legend who worked for the NHS for nearly 40 years saving people’s lives in the UK and in Africa, he said he was still working part time saving people until he got suck and eventually have up the ghost Tuesday.

He said the “NHS were amazing and did everything they could.”

“The Coronavirus is not a joke, please take it seriously and listen to the government,” he urged people.

Dr. Patigi’s death was coming barely 24 hours after the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar declared that any preacher who claimed that Coronavirus was a scam was not worth a scholar, warning them against misleading their followers about it and against government and health authorities’ directives towards stopping the problem in Nigeria.
