The President, General Presidency of The Two Holy Mosques in Kingdom of Arabia (KSA), Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, has praised the authorities of the country in taking action and temporarily suspending visitors for umrah to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the blessed country.

This was posted on Haramain Sharifain’s Facebook page on Thursday.

According to the post, Sheikh Sudais explained that the decision was based on health recommendations and to follow the Prophet’s Sunnah, peace be upon him, in the Hadith of Osama bin Zaid that the Prophet ﷺ said: “If you get wind of the outbreak of plague in a land, do not enter it; and if it breaks out in a land in which you are, do not leave it.” (Al Bukhari & Muslim)
