Just as Nigerians’ assessments and reviews of Saturday February 25, 2023 presidential and national assembly elections continue, fiery pastor cum social media influencer, Reno Omokri, says the voting pattern this last exercise has unveiled where the power resides in Nigeria.

Omokri, former Social Media Aide to the President under Goodluck Jonathan, made this known in his verified Facebook page with a photo illustration showing Bishop David Oyedepo who is open attacker of Islam, Muslims and the North, along with one other pastor discussing with Dr  Peter Obi.

Obi, presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) in the election had openly asked the church in Nigeria to take the country and is believed by core Christian establishment to be their candidate in the poll.

Omokri, himself a known anti-Islamic agent in Nigeria and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s propagandist, urged his fellow faith people to look at the results, warning them never to vote along religion line in future elections in the country as, according to him, it will not work.

His words, “The Islamic vote was divided 3 ways amongst Atiku, Tinubu and Kwankwaso. The Christian vote was united behind Obi. Yet, look at the result! No matter the provocation, Christians must NEVER allow future elections be about religion. It won’t serve us well! We are in the heat of the moment and people are not yet thinking calmly.

“When you say those obvious truths, some of the very people who would benefit are the first to insult you with the vilest abuse. But no matter how we sugarcoat it, this election says a lot about the power of the Christian bloc vote.

“Oya, insult me. The people that don’t know how to insult know how to vote and we are seeing their power,” he said.

We gathered that some Muslims are still wondering why most Christians hate them so much that they want to take political power of the country they own together and call it a Christian State.

Buniyaminu Amoo, a computer engineer in Lagos, particularly asked, “If you get the political power, what do you want to do with it? You have not gotten it but we, Muslims are fugitives in our own country of birth. This is religious rebellion taken too far,” he said in his own post-election reaction to The DEFENDER.
