Buhari’s Family thank well-wishers, as son returns home
Nigeria’s First Family of President Muhammadu Buhari, full of praises to Allah and appreciation to all men and women of goodwill for their prayers and best wishes, have expressed their unstinted joy for seeing back at home their son, Yusuf, who was discharged from an Abuja hospital on Friday.
The family’s appreciation was conveyed by Special Adviser to the Nigerian President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, in a statement he issued in Abuja, on Friday.
The Adesina’s statement reads: “President Muhammadu Buhari, his wife, Aisha, and the entire family, thank all men and women of goodwill, both within and outside the country, for their prayers and best wishes, which have now seen their son, Yusuf, being discharged from hospital.
“The family appreciates the overwhelming show of love and solidarity, which had come their way since Yusuf was involved in a motorcycle crash on December 26, 2017,” it said.
Praying that almighty Allah would reward all that had sent their best wishes and prayed for the quick recovery of their son, the Buhari’s family said, “We thank Nigerians from all walks of life, both within and outside the country, leaders of many foreign countries, groups, organizations, individuals, and many others, who prayed, visited, sent messages, and generally stood by us at the trying time.”
Yusuf, who had been on hospital admission following his involvement in a recent bike accident at Gwarinpa area in the Federal Capital Territory, was discharged from Cedarcrest Hospital, Abuja, Friday, following what the Chief Medical Director described as his “extremely speedy response to treatment.”
