Buhari names railway stations after Jonathan, Tinubu, Jakande, other ‘deserving Nigerians’

On Monday, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation, announced that President Muhammadu Buhari had given approval that stations along the Lagos-Ibadan and the Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Warri corridors should be named in honour of some of the nation’s leaders.

While Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the man whose administration is known to have indisputably recorded the highest level of corruption so far in the nation’s experience, and others like Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Professor Wole Soyinka made the list, former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s name was pointedly missing.

There is also Major General Tajudeen Olanrewaju (RTD), who freed Nigerians from the telecoms grip of NITEL monopoly as Minister of Communications and Alhaji Babatunde Jose among others.
