British ambassador arrested in Iran

*UK calls arrest ‘flagrant violation of international law’
The British ambassador to Iran has been arrested briefly, in what the UK government says is a “flagrant violation” of international law.
Rob Macaire was reportedly held for over an hour on Saturday, on suspicion of “organising, provoking and directing radical actions” – amid a vigil in Tehran for the 176 people killed by Iran’s accidental attack on a commercial passenger flight.

He was later released.
