NNPP dissolves Kano State, LG, Ward Executive Committees

“The National Working Committee thanks all those who have held one position or the other in the state, local government and ward structures and assures them that the party appreciates all that they have done,” the statement said.
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has dissolved all executive committees of the party in Kano State, spanning the state, local government and ward levels.

The party said caretaker committees would be constituted to manage its affairs in the interim, with an announcement expected shortly.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday December 31, 2025, signed by the NNPP National Publicity Secretary, Bamofin Ladipo Johnson and made available to The DEFENDER on Friday January 2, 2026.
According to the statement, the dissolution was carried out in line with the provisions of the party’s constitution.
The NWC also expressed appreciation to all party officials affected by the decision, thanking them for their service and contributions to the party at the state, local government and ward levels.
