BREAKING: Gen Chris Ali, former Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, is dead

A former Chief of Army Staff, Major General Mohammed Chris Ali popularly called MC Ali is dead.
He died on Sunday at a military hospital to where he was taken for treatment in Lagos on Saturday. He was aged 79.
The late Retired Army General was Governor of Plateau State on two different occasions the first of which was as Military Governor between 1985 and 1986 during the military regime of President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida.
The second time he governed Plateau State was during the civillian administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo (1999-2007) as Administrator for six months (May 18, 2004 and November 2004) following the declaration of a State of Emergency in the state.
Major General MC Ali was Chief of Army Staff staff between November 1993 and August 1994 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha.
