Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer plans to address the media via video conference at the Austrian embassy in Moscow after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, a source familiar with the schedule of Nehammer’s trip to Moscow told TASS.

“A separate meeting with the media is expected to take lace tonight at the embassy,” he said.

The meeting between Putin and Nehammer is scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm Moscow time, the Austrian side said earlier. The Kronen Zeitung newspaper reported that the meeting would not be held at the Kremlin.

Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg told reporters on Monday before a meeting of the EU foreign ministers that Nehammer and Putin were expected to hold a one-on-one meeting. When asked if a joint press conference would be held in Moscow, he said that “nothing can be ruled out.”

The Austrian chancellor will hold a meeting with the Russian president to discuss the situation in Ukraine amid Russia’s special military operation. On Saturday, Nehammer held talks with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in Kiev.
