APC will reclaim Zamfara from PDP come 2027, Says Matawalle

*As party writes Tinubu, says “We have endorsed you for 2027”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has vowed to reclaim its mandate from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2027 general elections.

This was disclosed by the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle, while addressing thousands of APC supporters and party executives at the party’ State Secretariat in Gusau.

He said with the current unity enjoyed among stakeholders, party executives and supporters, it is a sure way to victory in 2027 general elections.

Matawalle said, “Despite huge allocation of resources from the Federal Government, Zamfara State has nothing to show for it.”

PDP government in Zamfara State has failed to fulfill its mandate and campaign promises to the people of the state.

He called on APC supporters and leaders to ensure that the current unity is sustained and that they continue to play a vital role in mobilising supporters for the mandate of the party to return.

He also urged them to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmad Tinubu for 2nd term in 2027.

“Zamfara people would give massive support to the president to continue his good work to the people of Nigeria,” Matawalle said.

The minister assured the people of Zamfara State that President Tinubu is doing everything humanly possible to ensure the issue of insecurity in Zamfara and the country in general becomes a history “as all machinery is being put in place to eradicate the problems.”

He said the president was well focused on tackling the numerous problems and challenges facing the country, and also appealed to APC supporters and Nigerians in general to support all the policies and programs of President Tinubu to take the nation to the promise land.

Several stakeholders, who spoke during the event, included former Governor Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi, members of National Assembly, former ministers, former Ambassadors and other relevant stakeholders all of them hammering on party unity.

In the meantime, the Zamfara State APC has finally transmitted a letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, formally informing him of its endorsement by the state party members ahead of 2027 general elections.

According to the letter jointly signed byHon. Tukur Umar Danfulani, State Chairman, and Hon. Ibrahim Umar Dangaladima, State Secretary, with reference number: APC/ZM/ADM/VOL. I and dated November 14th 2025, Tinubu was told to be assured of their support.

The letter addressed to Tinubu through the Hon. Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, and was titled, “ENDORSEMENT OF PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU’S SECOND TERM IN OFFICE”.

It said, “Following a series of meetings by members of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, comprising leaders, stakeholders, and teeming supporters, held on Saturday, 1st November 2025 in Talata-Mafara, and on Friday, 14th November 2025 at the State Party Secretariat in Gusau, the party deliberated extensively under the distinguished leadership of the Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, His Excellency, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Marafan Sokoto), and the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, His Excellency, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, MON, (Shattiman Sokoto).

“After careful consideration of the remarkable achievements of the current administration under the focused and visionary leadership of Your Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, particularly in the areas of economic reform and the courageous, pragmatic efforts to address national security challenges, the Zamfara State APC unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office in 2027. This endorsement is duly signed by the undersigned party leaders and stakeholders.

“Subsequently, stakeholders across all 14 Local Government Areas of Zamfara State initiated further validation of this resolution through individual letters signed by their respective Party Chairmen and Secretaries. These letters reaffirmed the resolutions reached at the Talata-Mafara and Gusau meetings and were duly submitted to the State Executive Committee of the APC, under the leadership of Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani, for onward transmission to His Excellency.

“Attached herewith are copies of the validation letters from all Local Government Areas of the State.

“In light of these collective affirmations, we are confident, by the special will and grace of Almighty Allah, that our great party, the APC, will achieve resounding victory across the entire Northwest Zone in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.”
