APC TICKET: TVC deletes poll after Osinbajo rated ahead Tinubu, others

Ahead of the presidential primary of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), which is now the most anxiously awaited a the nation rides to the start of yet another transitional election season, a now-deleted poll conducted by TVC, a Nigeria-based broadcast outlet, has tipped President Muhammadu Buhari ‘s deputy, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) as the favourite for the party’s ticket to succeed him.
This was coming as President Buhari has unequivocally made his intention to have a choice of his successor known.
But sadly, the television station, which ownership by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not been denied, on its verified Twitter social media handle Wednesday, conducted an opinion poll themed APC primary asking, “Now that Atiku has emerged as PDP presidential candidate, who should APC field as their flag bearer?”
Rotimi Amaechi, the immediate past Minister of Transportation, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, incumbent Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, and former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu were listed.
After 1,721 people had voted, with Osinbajo leading with 43 percent, followed by Tinubu with 40 percent, Lawan with 9 percent and Amaechi with 8 percent of the total votes cast, the tweet was deleted.
