Anti thuggery committee arrests 70 year old man for raping 13 year old girl in Zamfara

The Zamfara State anti thuggery special committee established by the state government to fight against political thuggery, drugs abuse and other related offences has arrested a seventy year old man identified as Alh. Abdullahi Na’abu in connection with raping 13 year old girl name withheld in Gusau the state capital.

The state chairman of the committee, Hon. Bello Mohammed Bakyasuwa stated this while parading the suspects Friday.

According to him, the suspect confessed to have raped the teenage girl twice and was arrested while trying to rape her for the third time by the operatives of the anti thuggery committee along Yanmangwarori area in Gusau on Thursday.

In an interview with newsmen, the 70 year old man who is also a former zamfara state chairman of NATA opined that he has four wives and twenty children.

He further confessed to have canal affairs with the teenage girl two different time at his residence.

The suspect who denied defiling the girl, pointed out that his manhood is not functional.

“Even the doctors confirmed that my manhood is no longer functional and I regretted what I did” he said.

He confessed that he persuaded the girl with N100 Naira and N200 Naira to have committed the dastardly act with the girl for the first and second time before he was exposed by his wives who informed the anti thuggery committee which led to his arrest.

In the same vain, the anti thuggery committee said the operatives had arrested middle age boy in connection with bugling shops and snatching motorcycles and two female and tricycle driver with narcotic drugs in the midnight roaming around Gusau allegedly committing some social vices.

Bakyasuwa stated that his committee will soon hand over the suspects to appropriate authorities for further action
