Adeyanju-led Ondo North Group salutes Nigeria, Ondo State on Independence Day

The dream of freedom was finally achieved on October 1, 1960 when the British rule ended and the country, officially founded on three-region structure, was pronounced Independent Nigeria.
The entire members of Imole Progressive Network, under the leadership of Engr. Mike Adeyanju, have expressed their congratulations to Nigeria and their state of Ondo as the country marks its 65th year of becoming independent from the colonial rule on Wednesday October 1, 2025.
Nigeria became independent following struggle of some founding fathers named Sir Ahmadu Bello, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Dr. Nmamdi Azikiwe for freedom from the British hegemony on their land, despite having been amalgamated in 1904 from hitherto structure of Northern and Southern protectorates controlled from the Colony of Lagos to them become Nigeria.

Today, October 1, 2025, the nation marks its 65 years of this Independence and Imole Progressive Network (IPN), led by its leader, Michael Adeyanju, celebrates.
“Happy Independence Day!”, the group said.
It continues, “This is the celebration of national freedom, unity, and progress, a reflect of our forefathers’ achievements and pointer of a beautiful future.
“This day renewed our aspirations for a stronger and prosperous nation, a day that always refresh our minds and encourages us to uphold patriotism, bridge divisions, working together for the betterment of the country, focusing on collective potentials and a shared dream of greatness.”
According to a statement posted on the platform of the group, “The entire members of Imole Progressive Network, under the leadership of Engr. Mike Adeyanju wish our nation fruitfulness and success in all her steps and a Happy Independence Day to fellow Nigerians, we will continue to build our nation through Unity, Solidarity, Resilience, Enduring Strength, Spirit of perseverance, Hope for the Future, Patriotism and National Pride of our rich culture and heritage revolving economy reformation and promotion of good governance.
“We see a Greater Nigeria in our unity and willingness to serve selflessly,” it said.
