AbdulHakeem AbdulLateef emerges “Lagos Man of the Year 2018”, polling 76% of total votes
Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Dr. AbdulHakeem AbdulLateef, has been declared winner of the 2018 “Lagos Man of the Year Award” contest.
The former Chairman Committee on Education Lagos State House of Assembly, who has successfully combined the practice of politics and religion to the chagrin of many, polled 41,415 representing 76 percent of total votes in the week long digital based election to clinch the award.
AbdulHakeem, who has been in active politics holding meaningful political offices since 2003, became Special Adviser on Political Matters to Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) 2007-2015).
He has been Chief Imam of Lagos State House of Assembly Mosque since the Speakership days of Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora through the time Ikoforiji while himself was Honourable Member till now that Mudashiru Obasa is on the throne.
A very successful and go-getter Barrister and solicitor, AbdulHakeem AbdulLateef is said to be well deserving of his latest keenly contested award, conceptualised and organized by the Center for Policy Development and Political Studies.
