In fulfillment of Allah’s injunctions on the protection of vulnerable children, Sheikh Abdul-Rahman Olanrewaju Ahmad has called on Nigerians to care for the orphans and other less privileged children in the society.

Ahmad, who is the Chief Missioner of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, said that people should see caring for vulnerable children as divine responsibility.

The cleric, who was a guest speaker at the Halal Children Home, Lugbe, Abuja, said there was the need for vulnerable children to be protected as enjoined in the Holy Qur’an.

Established two years ago by a group of young Muslim women passionate about the welfare of orphans and vulnerable children in the society, Halal Children’s Home foundation laying ceremony was during the ceremony jointly performed by wife of the governor of Niger State,  Hajia Amina Abubakar Bello, and her Kebbi State counterpart, Hajia Zainab Bagudu.

Highlights of the event included Qur’an recitation by some of the children at the home.
