President Bola Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala as Special Adviser on Public Communications and Media (State House) in what is believed to be a replacement for Ajuri Ngelale, who resigned months ago as Special Adviser Media and Publicity.

Appointment of Bwala has sparked reactions on social media with Nigerians posting recap of his recent statements where, specifically, he said if Tinubu was given 30 years he would not do well as president.

It was a development that has made many supporters of the president see him as now favouring political enemies to the detriment of those who vehemently worked for him despite his almost unmarketable leadership.

Tinubu also named three other directors general of key agencies, according to a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, dated Thursday November 14, 2024 and copy of which was sent to The DEFENDER.

The appointees are: Olawale Olopade, the new Director General of the National Sports Commission, Olopade brings extensive experience as a sports administrator. He previously served as the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ogun State and chaired the local organizing committee of the 2024 National Sports Festival.

Dr. Abisoye Fagade: Now leading the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, Fagade is a seasoned marketing communications expert and the founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions.

Dr. Adebowale Adedokun: The new Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, Adedokun previously held the position of Director of Research/Training and Strategic Planning at the bureau.

Daniel Bwala: Bwala is a lawyer and well-regarded public affairs analyst.

President Tinubu has urged the newly appointed officials to approach their roles with dedication, patriotism and excellence.
