The medical report signed by Drs. Elonye/Olagunju/Owolabi J.I Radiologists from the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital reads:

“Fairly oval shaped iso to slightly hyperdense mass with irregular margins (HU-43) is seen arising from the vermis of cerebellum, compressing and distorting the 4th ventricle anteriorly. It measures 45 x 44mm in size and shows multiple areas of hypodensities (range HU= 13-15) within it suggestive of cystic changes.

“There are also foci of hyperdensities (HU-85) suggestive of calcification. This lesion shows enhancement on all post contrast series. The sulci-gyri pattern is within normal limits. There is moderate dilatation of both lateral ventricles and 3rd ventricle suggestive of non-communicating hydrocephalus.

“The midline is preserved. Both inferior nasal turbinates are enlargement suggestive of rhinitis. Both orbits, paranasal sinuses, skull vault and base are within normal limits.

CONCLUSION: Posterior fossa mass with non-communicating hydrocephalus Differential: -Medulloblastoma.
