On Sultan, don’t be pushed on negative side of history, AIT/Raypower Muslim Community Imam warns Gov Aliyu

“Why? How is it that any leader that does good work must have problem or be given trouble by you politicians because you, by British unhelpful arrangements, have been made custodians of political powers? Remember that yesterday these traditional rulers owned this political power that you now use against them. If you misuse it today, tomorrow will come when today will be yesterday and your time of recompense will mature for you reap the fruit of your work. Take caution.”
The Juma’at Imam of AIT/Ray power Muslim Community in Lagos, Alhaji Muhammad Mujtabah Dawodu, upon return from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Saturday June 29, 2024, gave a strong advice warning the Sokoto State Governor, Mr. Ahmad Aliyu, against his politicisation of the revered stool of His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto.
The PhD holder in the making told the politicians in power of Sokoto State government that it will be over-reaching of selves to think that the privilege they have as current custodian of political powers will do them any permanent good when used to tamper and dismantle the treasure of the world renowned leader of over 150 million Muslims of Nigeria.
Imam Dawodu said, “Sometimes there is the need for us outside of Sokoto State to lecture some Sokoto indigenes on what they probably don’t know or they know but pretend not to know, about the importance of their Sokoto Caliphate and the position of the Sultan of Sokoto, to the development and tourism destination of choice for the entire Nigeria and the world, which they have enjoyed, especially under the sitting Sultan, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar.
“If you choose political interest, I mean you the first Sokoto township man ever to govern the Sokoto State, if you choose political interest – that will end and not follow you beyond this world – over Islamic interest with which your Lord expects you to come back and explain how you fared regarding your life of this world, and by such actions of yours you set the Muslim Ummah of Nigeria 50 years back to the days of ethnicised religion that saw Northern and Southern Muslims do things in miles apart to their own peril, history of Nigeria will not forgive you and anyone that bears your name.
Take caution.
“As for them who want Muslims that cry out to stop, saying Muslims should not be seen as fighting Muslims, they too should expect the result of their hypocrisy because Allah has declared as forbidden for himself, act of hypocrisy, and has then forbidden all Muslims not to do it. If you are cautioning the beaten that are crying not to cry, have you been able to tell the beater to stop beating first so that criers will naturally stop crying?
“I mean, you must first of all talk to the face of Governor Ahmad Aliyu and, according to what I read in a published opinion by Diasporan UK Abanikanda Olumoro, his godfather Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, who has been revealed to be behind all of this. If you think Muslims of Nigeria will stop fighting you, your godfather and any member of your state Assembly, who are involved in this unholy operation disrespecting and whittling the powers of the Sultan, your leader, while you go ahead to pass a Bill to take away his powers and depose him, you are not being realistic.
“The only way you can be in peace in your life is to stop this battle you are about to start because, if you start it, you won’t know its end. I mean, it is the beginning of war you know, you may not know its end. And as our Muslim brother, we advise you sincerely to be true Muslim and do not allow anybody or any political interest to put you on the negative side of history,” the Imam said.
