The monarch, in a condolence message he sent by WhatsApp to The DEFENDER, gave some of the reasons Akeredolu popularly called AKETI will be painfully missed.

“Aketi will be remembered for being courageous, outspoken and blunt in the defence of what he believes in. He fought for South West security as never before. May God receive his soul and give him eternal rest,” he said.

In another reaction of the Iralepo earlier reported, he described the deceased as a dogged fighter and courageous man who stood for truth, Justice and equity.

“Arakunrin Akeredolu was a crusader for equity and justice. He was a firm believer in an egalitarian society where no community or people can be marginalized.

“When insecurity stared us in the face, he fought it with his entire might. He worked with his brother governors to establish the Amotekun corp. When it was the time for the Southern States to produce the Nigerian President, he was resolute and his voice was heard loud and clear.

“His courage and dynamism found recognition in his emergence as the Chairman of the South-West Governors Forum, a position that he deployed ceaselessly to champion justice, security, equity and true federalism.

“He was a towering presence on the legal landscape, rising to lead the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) at a critical moment in our nation’s journey.”

The royal father said the late Akeredolu was a man of idea who worked for the overall development of Ondo State and liberated various ancient communities across the state.

Oba Olofin-Adimula commiserated with the immediate family of the late Akeredolu, the people of Ondo State, the Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, his wife and children over the irreparable loss.

“I join Nigerians in offering our deepest sympathy to the new Governor of Ondo State over the passing of his leader and predecessor. We are indeed saddened by this irreplaceable loss and pray especially for you, the family left behind and the entire people of Ondo state at this very difficult period of grief.”

“God will comfort you and grant you the grace to bear this loss and strength to remain steadfast”, the Iralepo said.

The Isinkan monarch also congratulated the new Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for stepping into the shoes.

“You cannot be divorced from the successes recorded by the Akeredolu-led administration. Your administration has delivered many unprecedented accomplishments that can only be traced to the ingenuity of your personality and the purposefulness of results-driven governance.”

“We wish your administration the very best and pray that the Almighty God grants you more wisdom, strength, and the guidance to deliver.”

“As a community, we in Isinkan pledge our unflinching loyalty and support to the Government of Ondo State under your leadership.

“It shall be well with you. It shall be well with our state,” the royal father concluded.
