Kano govt establishes anti-corruption units across state agencies

The Kano State Government under the leadership of Engr Abba Kabir Yusuf is ready to fight any injustice related to corruption in the state, official statement said.

Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam who represented the Governor, madevthis official statement during the 2023 International Anti-curruption Day,  organised by Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-curruption Commission and held in the Cooronation Hall in Kano State Government House on Saturday.

He said since the inception of there administration they had been taking major steps to takle the problems of curruption that included bringing back government properties taken over by some peoples and that which included Hasiya Bayero Hospital sold by previous administration.

Aminu Abdussalam said the government has also prioritised the creation of anti-corruption units in government agencies predecessor.

In his part the executive chairman public complaints and Anti-curruption commission Kano.Barr.Muhyi Magaji Rimingado said is a day mark by United Nation to commomerate fight against corruption globally.

The theme of this year’s day is “Uniting the world against corruption”The accasion is to create awareness on dangers of corruption so people’s will care in and join the fight against corruption.

He said in fighting against curruption in Kano state their commission is the only sub-national Anti-curruption agency that is up and doing working side by side with all other Anti-curruption agency to fight curruption both prevetive and curing.

Magaji said they organised lecture event and other activities that will be host in the state in many places were by the youths will be ingage and they will be enlighten on the dangers of the corruption.

Muhuyi Magaji said what they are doing is to the fight against curruption they are not only to arrest byo prosecute and detain no they are creating mechanism that will help increating bottleneck on public resources son that the public service will be delivered to it’s maximum.
