Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the appointment of Hajiya Nana Asma’u Jibrin as Director General, Research and Documentation, Government House Kano.
This was as the apparently committed-to-service-delivery-and-result leader of Nigeria’s second largest economy also approved the elevation of Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo from the position of Chief of Protocol to Director General, Protocol.
His equally committed and exceptionally loyal Director General Media and Pubkicity, Mallam Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, had made this known in a statement issued in Kano on Saturday, saying Hon. Rogo’s reappointment in elevated capacity was with immediate effect.
Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo, a former Chairman Rogo Local Government and former member, Kano State House of Assembly, was first appointed Chief of Protocol during the transition period of the Governor and subsequently retained in same position after inauguration on May 29, 2023.
Similarly, the newly appointed DG Research and Documentation, Hajiya Nana Asma’u Jibrin, served as the Deputy Director of Social Media for Governor Abba Yusuf’s Campaign Organization since 2022.
A graduate of Political Science with masters in same field, Nana Asma’u is a seasoned broadcaster, publisher and a research analyst with 20 years of experience in Media and Advertising, Entrepreneurship and Project Management.
She is the Founder, Womanhood Africa Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that supports women and girls to improve their livelihood in African region.
While congratulating the new appointees, His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf enjoined them to be steadfast and remain committed to discharging their roles.
