INDUSTRIASLIZATION: Nigeria inaugurates automobile assembly plants in Nnewi

Information reaching The DEFENDER shows that Nigeria is moving seriously towards achieving its goal of becoming one of few largest economies in the world in no distant time as it continues to drive its programmes along the line of industrialisation.

According to a report published on the website of National Television Authority (NTA), on Tuesday, this was so as it was said that in order to encourage the growth of the Nigeria automotive industry, the Federal Government directed that all vehicles to be purchased under the approved its budget should be procured locally from local assembly manufacturers.

Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Hajia Zainab Ahmed, stated this during the inauguration of automobile assembly plants in Nnewi, Anambra State, according to a report by published on the website of NTA on Tuesday.
