*As 1 contestant steps down
In order to build further consensus among the aspirants for various APC leadership positions, the National Convention Planning Committee has invited all the aspirants to a meeting in Abuja on Thursday.
The Secretary to the Committee, Sen. Ndoma Egba, said the meeting will hold at the secretariat of the committee at Casa de Lucy Hotel, 525 David Jemibewon Crescent, Gudu District, Abuja by 4.00pm on Thursday.
He said out of the 42 positions in contention, one of the aspirants on Wednesday dropped off leaving the race to 41.
A member of the committee and Chairman of Media and Publicity Sub-Committee of for the Convention, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, said the rationale for the meeting was to see if further consensus can be reached among the contestants.
The convention will hold on Saturday with contestants and delegates already storming Abuja ahead of the day.
