Opposition of President Buhari are Political Extremists, by Pastor Odia Ogbebor
Gov. Ortom of Benue State believes his anti-grazing law is the right solution for the crisis happening in his state. What he has failed to understand is that the innocent ones among the herdsmen would suffer because all the herdsmen would be treated in the same way. And if these herdsmen are attacked unjustly by whatever militias Gov. Ortom is using to enforce the law, it would only lead to more extremism from the herdsmen. And it would give more justification to those among them that are ready for combat. Does it not surprise you that despite the fact that Gov Ortom of Benue State is under the umbrella of APC, he is receiving more of his sympathy from the opposition party. Ortom even said he is willing to leave APC for PDP if his people request for it. Does this not tell you that Gov Ortom is not an honest person?
Those who are fighting so hard to see the fall of President Buhari are gradually turning themselves into Political Extremists. Only the ignorant ones would fall for their blackmail.
While they are aiming at destroying another man’s house, they have become blinded to the fact that their own house is already on the pathway of full self destruction.
They wanted to use the IPOB group as a strong and steady platform to weaken and terminate the Leadership of Buhari. When they started, they all thought that they would be successful. But by God’s will, their plans was rendered fruitless.
They were planning. God was also planning. And the way they called on their God to end the life of president Buhari, one would be forced to imagine if we have more than one supreme God ruling us all. It was like they were calling on the true God while Buhari and his supporters were on the side of the false God.
Why didn’t their true God answer their prayers since they believe that Buhari was on the side of the false God? Is the false God who kept the life of Buhari his disciple more superior to their true God whom they claim to worship in truth and in spirit who couldn’t cause the death of Buhari?
If truly the opposition party/parties are honest and truthful with their criticisms, I do not think I would have a problem with them. But when you observe the opposition of Buhari administration, you would see that these people are the true manufacturers of the political crisis in the country. They are willing to steal, kill and destroy while they utilise such to bear false witness against Buhari.
They say Buhari is a liar. But indeed, they are the chief liars.
They say Buhari is a propagandist. But surely they are the king of such.
They say Buhari is a religious and ethnic begot. But watch their thoughts and deed. Religious and ethnic bigotry is their way of life.
It is a show of stupidity and an outright denial of truthfulness when I hear some persons from the opposition claiming that Buhari is dividing the nation. Please can any one of them give me a clear reason for such a belief?
They claimed that Buhari is favouring just the North. When they were later made to know that North east that gave one of the highest votes to Buhari got just 24 appointments, while the southeast that gave about 1.3% votes were given 22 appointments, they shifted from saying that Buhari was bias in his appointment to claiming that Buhari only gave meaningless appointments to the south. Theirs was even higher than the south-south geopolitical zone that got just 20 appointments. But yet, we hear more noise from the South East region, followed by the South south.
Some of them ask that why is our military forces more of the North. But they also failed to ask why is our economic forces/leadership more from the south. If its a northerner that is our CBN governor or our minister of finance, I can only imagine how terrible the kind of derogatory statements they would make against the North. It would surely be worse than what we see today. They accuse Buhari of poor economic performance (which is false) even when they know that it is people from among the southern region that are in control of the economy. Are they unknowingly insinuating that the South are not economically sound to lead the nation? No, the fault is not on them. Put the blame on Buhari. Its easier that way. We don’t have to deal with the situations of been asked to produce facts to justify our claim.
Did you see how between 6th and 7th of Feb, 2018, rumours of Fulani herdsmen killing travellers around Lagos-Benin express way spread across the social media so rapidly? Some of us received audio versions of such rumour. And judging from the voice behind the tape, one can easily see that it was done by an easterner. These set of people are not tired of creating mischiefs in the land. Now this does not include the intelligent ones among them, but only the barbarians. They now use the grace of freedom of speech to create or invent falsehood in the country.
The rumour they were spreading as a Fulani herdsmen attack was actually a robbery incident that happened 8 years ago along that road. But they told the story like it was a recent attack carried out by the Fulani herdsmen.
Do this people think that Buhari and his supporters are fools? Do they think we do not reason? If Buhari is hoping to go for his second tenure, what would he gain in supporting some group of miscreants perpetuating evil in the land?
The Fulani’s were the first settlers in that region before the Tivs according to History. So why are the first settlers treated as foreigners while the TIV’s are treated as indigenes? Why do we say Fulani’s are not Nigerians simply because of where their fore fathers migrated from. Do some Histories not claim that the Benin’s are from Egypt? Do the Easterners not migrate from somewhere else before landing at their current region in Nigeria?
We were all on this land when we were united and given a Name. So why do we want to make one ethnic group inferior to the other? Why do we want to deny a particular group of their nationality simply because of our misguided hatred towards them? Some us grew up to admire the northerners and even the Fulani’s. They were peace loving people. They lived a very simple life. But the influence of politics has made some us to start perceiving them as enemies. Its synonymous to when a typical Christian hears a Muslim say “Allahu akbar” he thinks its a form of demonic invocation unknown to him that the arabic words simply means “God is the greatest”. His ignorance would lead him to say that Musims are terrorists or Islam is a demonic religion. We call what is good, bad. And we call what is bad, good.
They looked down on Buhari like nothing good can come out of him. It was the same way they looked at Jesus Christ in his time. They the Jewish scribes and pharisees asked that what good can come out of Nazareth. It is the same way those who oppose Buhari keep asking what good can a Fulani man give to the Nation. Even if Buhari builds a house and buys a car for everyone of them, they would only smile with him when they are in his presence but would mock and denounce him when they go behind his back. Such is how evil their heart has become.
Glory be to God that those who defend Buhari do it not out of compulsion nor were they compelled to do so out of been paid or bribed or for the love of money. We do it because we strongly believe in him. We do it because we want the truth to prevail. Those who are of the Truth hears his voice and follow. Only the lying and barbaric spirits would be deaf to his voice.
Our loyalty to President Buhari was not bought. Some of us can even drink garri for his sake. We are willing to endure the temporal discomforts just so that he is given the full chance to repair the nation. We believe God put him there to save the nation.
This idea so much irritates the opposition. But we do not care. Let them continue lying and bearing false witness against Buhari. Its only the Will of God and not their tongue or hands that would determine the continuation of the Buhari’s administration.
