Emir of Ilorin Celebrates Etsu Nupe on 74th Birthday

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has congratulated the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar, CFR, on the occasion of his 74th birthday anniversary.
The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, has congratulated the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Yahaya Abubakar, CFR, on the occasion of his 74th birthday anniversary.

In a congratulatory message issued by the Emir through his spokesman, Dr. AbdulAzeez Arowona, Sulu-Gambari described the 13th Etsu Nupe, a former Nigerian Army General and Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN), as a distinguished monarch who has recorded landmark achievements.
The Emir described Etsu Nupe as a foremost custodian of culture, a pillar of peace and a strong advocate of unity among the people of the Nupe Kingdom and Nigeria at large.
He said the people of the Ilorin Emirate Council and members of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs “heartily felicitate” with the Etsu Nupe on attaining the age of 74, noting that his 24-year reign on the throne had been marked by wisdom, humility and an unwavering commitment to the progress of his people and the nation.
Sulu-Gambari prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the monarch more years in good health, strength and sound mind to enable him continue providing purposeful leadership to the Nupe nation and humanity.
The Emir also commended Yahaya Abubakar for his fatherly role in promoting religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence and support for traditional institutions across Nigeria.
He further appreciated the government and people of Niger State, as well as the Federal Government of Nigeria, for their support to the monarch in fulfilling his mandate of promoting peace and unity in diversity among traditional rulers across the country.
