Grand Chief Imam of Sepeteri Land congratulates Muslims on Islamic New Year 1448AH

He noted that the Hijrah (migration) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) remains a timeless lesson in sacrifice, patience, trust in Allah, and steadfastness in upholding the truth.

The Grand Chief Imam of Sepeteri Land, Al Imam Engr. Abdulhakeem Demola Raji, has felicitated with Muslims on the commencement of the Islamic New Year, 1448 AH, urging the faithful to reflect on their relationship with Allah and recommit themselves to righteousness.

In a goodwill message marking the beginning of the new Hijri year, the Islamic leader expressed gratitude to Allah for granting believers the opportunity to witness another year and called on Muslims to renew their faith, strengthen their devotion, and increase their acts of worship.

He noted that the Hijrah (migration) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) remains a timeless lesson in sacrifice, patience, trust in Allah, and steadfastness in upholding the truth.

The cleric prayed for peace, prosperity, good health, security, and abundant blessings for families, communities, and the nation throughout the new Islamic year. He also sought Allah’s forgiveness for past shortcomings and prayed for divine guidance and acceptance of good deeds.

Offering prayers for the success of the Muslim Ummah, Imam Raji invoked Allah to make the year 1448 AH a year of goodness, blessings, peace, faith, and victory for Islam and Muslims.

In his own words, the certified engineer-turned chief Imam said, “All praise is due to Allah, Who has granted us the opportunity to witness the beginning of another Hijri year. As we welcome 1448 AH, let us reflect on our relationship with Allah, renew our faith, strengthen our devotion, and increase in righteous deeds.

“The Hijrah of our beloved Prophet ﷺ teaches us the values of sacrifice, patience, trust in Allah, and steadfastness upon the truth. May this new year bring peace, prosperity, good health, security, and abundant blessings to our families, communities, and our nation.

“We pray that Allah forgives our past shortcomings, accepts our good deeds, guides us to what pleases Him, and makes this year better than the years before it.”

He concluded by wishing all Muslims a happy and prosperous Islamic New Year.
