STRAIT OF HORMUZ: Didn’t I tell you so! – Lim Tean

The Wall Street Journal has picked up on my story and it comes to the conclusion that despite the blockade, Iran can keep shipping oil to China (which buys 90% of Iranian crude ) well into July this year.

Last night I made a post about how Trump’s naval blockade is a joke and how it would not affect Iran in the slightest, as there are already about 158 million barrels of Iranian oil stored in some 96 tankers, which are out on the open seas.

If the blockade is still on in July, it is the many of America’s allies , which are dependent on oil from the Persian Gulf, that would have perished by then, not Iran.

In any event, there is no way America can maintain this absurd naval blockade until July. If the Strait of Hormuz is still closed in July, American motorists would be looking at at least $8-9 per gallon of gas I reckon. There would be a revolution in America and Congress would have removed Trump via the 25th amendment by then.

So no, this naval blockade won’t last till July. I doubt it will go beyond April even, because the Americans are desperate for a peace deal. This naval blockade is another of Trump’s stunts during this losing war for him.
