Sowore criticises Trump over claims of Iran negotiations

In a remark shared publicly, Sowore suggested that Trump faced pressure from declining financial markets, prompting announcements about talks with Iran that he claimed did not take place. He argued that such actions reflected a misuse of power, adding that “might is not always right.”

Nigerian activist and publisher Omoyele Sowore has criticised statements by former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding alleged negotiations with Iran, describing them as misleading.

In a remark shared publicly, Sowore suggested that Trump faced pressure from declining financial markets, prompting announcements about talks with Iran that he claimed did not take place. He argued that such actions reflected a misuse of power, adding that “might is not always right.”

“Donald J. Trump learnt a very hard way and began announcing negotiations with Iran that didn’t happen, the stock markets were going down to the bottom of the Hormuz Straits! Conscienceless Might is not always right!” He wrote via his social media page.

Sowore’s comments come amid ongoing tensions involving the United States and Iran, with conflicting narratives emerging around possible diplomatic engagements.

There has been no immediate response from Trump or U.S. officials regarding the claims.
