SDNON President, Adeniyi, lays foundation for solar-powered toilet in Sagamu, Abuja

In the meantime, SDNON member-media companies, of which Defender Media Limited publishers of The DEFENDER Newspaper is one, have congratulated their president for the landmark achievements of being able to give back to the former school of his formative years, Sagamu High School having earlier done same in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Dr. Ifetayo Adeniyi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Megastar Media Communications and President of the Society of Digital Newspaper Owners of Nigeria (SDNON), has laid the foundation for a solar-powered toilet facility at his alma mater, Sagamu High School, Sagamu, Ogun State, as part of his ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The project represents Dr. Adeniyi’s second major CSR intervention, following the successful execution of a similar project in Abuja.
The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by His Majesty, Oba Timothy Akinsola, the Ewusi of Makun, Sagamu, who offered traditional prayers and royal blessings for the smooth execution and successful completion of the project.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Adeniyi reaffirmed his dedication to supporting education, sanitation, and sustainable development, noting that the project is designed to improve hygiene standards and create a healthier learning environment for students.
Community leaders, school authorities, and stakeholders praised the gesture, describing it as a timely and impactful contribution to the development of public education infrastructure.
The solar-powered toilet facility is expected to significantly enhance sanitation and hygiene at Sagamu High School upon completion.
