Funke Akindele’s new movie, ‘The Four: No One Fights Alone’, set for release December 11

Building on her landmark success at the box office, award-winning filmmaker, actress, and producer Funke Akindele is set to release her next feature film later this year. Titled The Four: No One Fights Alone, the movie will hit cinemas globally on December 11, 2026. Produced by Funke Akindele Network (FAAN TV) and exclusively distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, the announcement marks the next chapter in the career of one of Africa’s most commercially successful filmmakers.
A powerful and emotionally charged drama, The Four: No One Fights Alone celebrates friendship, motherhood, resilience, and the extraordinary strength of ordinary women. Set between the picturesque Odu community and the vibrant pulse of the city, the film follows Esosa and three fiercely loyal women whose determination to secure the future of a young man they love puts their courage, faith, and loyalty to the ultimate test.
Like Akindele’s previous films, which have consistently pushed the boundaries of Nigerian cinema, The Four showcases Nigeria’s rich cultural identity through music, fashion, language, tradition, and breathtaking cinematography. The film combines authentic storytelling with powerful themes of hope, sacrifice, and the enduring strength of unity.
The film brings together some of Nollywood’s most accomplished names, starring Funke Akindele, Bisola Aiyeola, Chioma Akpotha, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Timini Egbuson, Lateef Adedimeji, Ali Nuhu, Uzor Arukwe, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Antar Laniyan, and Wunmi Toriola. It also features award-winning singer Waje, Afrobeats star Shoday, and entertainment personalities Samuel Banks, Kolapo Omotosho, and Ayomide Iwasokun.

Her films have repeatedly rewritten Nigerian box-office history and cemented her position as the country’s highest-grossing filmmaker and one of the continent’s most influential creative voices.
