LETTER: State of Emergency does not extend to suspending democratically elected Governor

IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT VERSUS SIM FUBARA.
But what is State of emergency?

According to our constitution, the three tiers of government, Federal, States and LGAs are INDEPENDENT.
This means that the Federal government has no right to take charge of Security in a state because the Governor is the Chief Security Officer of his state.
However, when there are Security breaches or threats, the Governor can ask the Federal to declare a state of emergency in his state.
The Federal government can now send the whole gamut of its Security apparatus to that state to support the Governor to keep the peace in his state.
The Federal Government too, can of its own accord, with the backing of the National Assembly, declare a state of emergency in a troubled state or local government.
A STATE OF EMERGENCY, DOES NOT EXTEND TO SUSPENDING A DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED GOVERNOR, EVEN FOR ONE DAY let alone, replacing him with a retired Navy officer nominated by the power drunk, boastful, control freak and architect of the whole tumult.
States are independent. The Governor is totally in charge of his state and not answerable to the President.
President Tinubu acted with impunity and broke Nigerian laws by suspending the democratically elected Governor of Rivers State. He easily, succumbed to the whims, caprices and possibly the blackmail of a devious man.
The only person Pres. Tinubu has the right to remove, is his appointed Minister Wike and Nigerians are asking why he is still sitting over Abuja, distributing Nigeria’s pieces of lands to his cronies.
With the Judges in his pocket, he couldn’t pocket the Chief Judge of Rivers State to effect Fubara’s impeachment. I ask and many Nigerians are asking, “Who blew up the pipeline? Was it allegedly blown up to justify the removal of Fubara? Na queshon I ask oo.
President Tinubu has a disgustingly excellent record of exerting suffocating control over those he supported to be governors in the South West. From Fashola to Aregbesola, from Ambode to Sanwo-Olu, the records are there. His Minister is either doing the same or they are in good company with each other.
However, those Retrogressives, no vex, “Progressives”, who deceived Nigerians with their Change Slogan, are shamelessly and stupidly defending lawlessness and impunity. Progressives judge issues based on the laws and the constitution. These #RenewedIdiots have replaced #Obidiots. They make Nigerians puke.
Progressives? Olorun ma je!
Nigeria is in trouble with two Emperors in Abuja. Brace up Nigerians, you are in for a long bumpy and dizzy ride.
