10 Kwara schools shut over anti-hijab actions to remain closed

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has informed members of the public in the state that 10 government schools where the use of hijaab is disputed will remain shut until a later date.
This decision has been taken for safety reasons, according to ROYAL NEWS report.
The DEFENDER recalls that Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), referring to a threat by Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), had urged the state government not to rest in its oars as it said CAN, which unfortunately described hijab as better way to identify female students by terrorists, can hide under it to attack the schools and hang it on the government.
Our findings have revealed that most of the crisis that Nigeria goes through today are religious – although aided by unpatriotic politicians – and caused by CAN with many instances including the Ola Oluwa Local Government Area of Osun State, where the LG CAN Chairman organised three male members of his church to dress like Muslim clerics and attack his own church service as its peak in a Sunday with intent to hang it on then Governor Rauf Aregbesola, who it accused of planning to import Boko Haram to the state.
The MURIC’s advice to the Kwara State Government mat not be unconnected to that sad memory of Osun attack where many church members were broken in the legs during stampede of a purported Boko Haram attack only for the attackers, after being cought and tortured by community youths, to confess they were sent by their pastor and who was CAN Chairman.
Therefore, a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, announced that the schools would remain shut.
The government, by the statement, listed the schools to include C&S College Sabo Oke, ST. Anthony College, Offa Road, ECWA School, Oja Iya, Surulere Baptist Secondary School, Bishop Smith Secondary School, Agba Dam, CAC Secondary School Asa Dam road, St. Barnabas Secondary School Sabo Oke, St. John School Maraba, St. Williams Secondary School Taiwo Isale, and St. James Secondary School Maraba.
“The government therefore directs schoolchildren and teachers in the affected schools to remain at home until the contrary is announced. The government remains committed to fairness, pluralism, and respect for the law and rights of every citizen at all times,” the statement said.
The DEFENDER reports that in many schools, hospitals and banks that are Islam oriented anywhere in Nigeia particularly in the core North, not only that Christians are gainfully employed as star but also they are not deprived like Christian dominated or manager organisations deprive Muslims in the South and, surprisingly now Kwara, a known Islamic society of North Central Nigeria.
