ZAMFARA RERUN: I will win again, says Gov Lawal

The Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has expressed confidence that he will still the rerun election ordered by the Appeal Court, when it declared the March 18, 2023 election inconclusive in the state.
The governor was speaking during a reception organized in his honour by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the party’s secretariat, on Monday, to welcome him after some official engagements outside the state.
The event was also held to mobilize support for the planned inconclusive election.
He said the party and government were fully prepared for any election anytime any day and that they were ready to defeat the opposition party in the state, particularly the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Governor Lawal, further, said the same APC that was defeated when they had a sitting governor could not maje it from outside.
He said all the APC was doing now was making noise but warned that “they should stop disturbing the peace of the state.”
Governor Dauda Lawal boasted that nobody could remove him as the governor of Zamfara state as, according to him, “God has chosen me to serve the good people of the state”.
He appealed to the Zamfara people to remain calm and go about their activities as thereI was no cause for alarm.
The governor spoke at the reception well attended by party supporters and well-wishers.
Several party supporters, who also spoke during the event, expressed their support for the government of Dauda Lawal for iniating several developmental projects that are focused on alleviating the suffering of tge masses, particularly on security.
