Zamfara APC denies excluding members from e-registration exercise

Gusau commended committed and law-abiding members for their cooperation and urged them to sustain the spirit, expressing confidence that it would lead to victory for the party in the 2027 general elections and beyond.
The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed allegations that some of its members were denied the opportunity to renew or obtain membership cards during the ongoing electronic registration exercise.

The party’s State Publicity Secretary and Coordinator of the e-registration exercise, Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau, made this known while briefing journalists on the progress of the exercise and responding to claims that certain groups had been excluded.
Gusau said the committee overseeing the registration had only heard of such complaints through speculation, stressing that no official report had been submitted either to the committee or to the party’s state secretariat for necessary action.
According to him, the party is committed to ensuring that no member is left out of the exercise. He disclosed that within the first three days of the registration, over 30,000 members had been successfully registered across the state.
A breakdown of the figures shows that Zamfara West recorded 11,651 registrants, Zamfara Central 10,595, while the Northern Zone had 7,957, bringing the total to 30,203 members.
Gusau described as “blatant lies” the allegations being circulated by detractors, noting that established channels exist within the party for lodging complaints, which, he said, were not utilized by those making the claims.
He expressed satisfaction with the conduct of party chairmen at all levels, commending them for ensuring that only genuine members and new entrants were registered. He also urged party members to resist any attempt by “moles and individuals with a history of anti-party activities” to undermine the exercise and disrupt the unity of the party.
The publicity secretary further stated that the APC in Zamfara State has remained united under its recognized leadership, warning that any breakaway or actions outside constitutionally recognized channels would be regarded as disloyal and unacceptable at all levels of the party.
Gusau commended committed and law-abiding members for their cooperation and urged them to sustain the spirit, expressing confidence that it would lead to victory for the party in the 2027 general elections and beyond.
He also appreciated the contributions of APC leaders in the state, particularly former governors Senator Ahmad Rufai Sani, Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar, and the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, for their full participation and for creating an enabling environment that encouraged both old and new members to register successfully.
