Your leadership of JAMB has been exceptional, Crescent University tells Oloyede in solidarity message

The management of Crescent University Abeokuta, Nigeria has joined the numerous solidarity messages that have trickled in appreciation of humility and rare leadership character displayed by Professor Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, CON, FNAL, Registrar/Chief Executive of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), when he took responsibility for the technical glitches that affected over 370,000 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results in parts of the country, recently.

In a letter signed by Professor Ibraheem Gbajabiamila, Vice Chancellor of the Crescent University, that leadership character displayed by Oloyede was described as “a high display of leadership character, honesty and credibility” that is also “a rarity in leadership in this part of the world.”
Dated 16th May, 2025 and addressed to Professor Is-haq Oloyede, CON, Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB), Abuja, the letter read:
“Dear Emeritus Prof.
“YOUR EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP
“Our university has been following, with keen interest, your exceptional leadership of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) over the years. We have found you to be an exemplar in all ramifications.
“We consider your recent public remorseful acknowledgement of technical glitches in the last Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and also taking responsibility on behalf of your team, a high display of leadership character, honesty and credibility.This is a rarity in leadership in this part of the world.
“We encourage you to continue on the path of industry, honour and professionalism for which you are widely known.
“On behalf of our university management, I pray for God’s guidance and direction of all your affairs.
“Please, rest assured of our best regards,” the letter by the late Bola Ajibola-founded university stated.
