Yari’s Scholarship Initiative tours media organisations in Zamfara

The publicity sub-committee for the A A Yari Scholarship Initiative has begun a familiarization tour of all media organizations in Zamfara State.

The tour began at Radio Nigeria Pride FM and ended at Vision FM in Gusau, the state capital.

So far, the committee has contacted all of the state’s conventional media outlets, seeking additional participation and collaboration for the initiative.

During the visit, Chairman of the Publicity Subcommittee, Hon. Ibrahim Maigandi Danmaliki Gidan Goga, stated that the goal of the tour was to seek media cooperation as an important instrument for the committee.

Danmaliki Gidan Goga noted that media is a variable instrument for reaching out to the program’s target recipients, therefore maintaining a friendly relationship is critical.

He stated that the program was part of the contribution of former Zamfara State Governor and Senator representing Zamfara West, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, to the state’s educational development.

He also revealed that a total of 1700 qualified indigene of the state will benefit from the entire package of the scholarship project.

He stated that the scholarship will cover tuition, housing, food, and the provision of reading and learning materials throughout the course of study.

In different reactions, heads of media organizations expressed joy that the program arrived at the perfect time.

They promised to support the program.

Other members of the committee are, Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad (Danmadamin Birnin Magaji) and Hon. Umar Jibo Bukkuyum (Dallatun Bukkuyum).
