Buhari now our own Ghandi, Mao Zedong, Mandela, Kano Governor Ganduje declares

The Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has come up with a word of encouragement for Nigerians to continue to give their unflinching support to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Governor Ganduje said, with the support of Nigerians and as the All Progressives Congress (APC) consolidates its political structure, that President Muhammadu Buhari would become a statesman like Ghandi, Mao Zedong and Mandela.

“What is happening in the APC now is good for us. We are removing impurities and we are getting wholesome as a political party. We are building a party with a clear cut ideology and we have a visionary leader (Buhari), who is determined to institutionalize progressive changes in our polity”, he added.

He made the remark at a symposium organized by I Stand with Buhari under the theme “Continuity – Answer to Transformation and Sustainable Growth”, at the NAF Conference Hall in Abuja.

He said Buhari’s moral fibre, vision and leadership style had made him not only a symbol of national integration but also a leader capable returning the country to the path of greatness.

The governor stated that the exit of some people from the APC would give the party and the President the latitude to consolidate and bring the much needed change Nigerians required.

“At the start of our party, we had conservatives, reactionaries and progressives. It included the good, the bad and the ugly. Gradually, the egocentric ones are going away. They have to move out because there is no place for them. They prefer to be leaders in hell than followers in paradise”, he asserted.

“You can understand that the problem we have in our politics is that of nomadic politicians. They are like fish moving from one pond to another in search of food”, he said, adding that with the exit of such politicians from the APC, it is now being rebuilt as an institution thus, the country requires leadership continuity and consolidation.

According to Govenor Ganduje, Buhari needs more time to complete what he has started especially in the areas of economic recovery, national security and stamping our corruption, explaining that fighting corruption especially, is a task that takes time.

“There is need for Buhari and the likes of Buhari to continue to lead in this country so that we can be born again”, he counseled.
