What Sultan told Emir of Keffi on 10th coronation anniversary

He said since becoming Emir 10 years ago, he had been working hard to emulate the remarkable life of his late father in mobilising development and welfare to his Emirate, especially education in which he has so far offered over 410 scholarships to less privileged children.
The Sultan of Sokoto and Chairman National Traditional Rulers Council of Nigeria, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, mni, HFNIM, at the weekend attended the 10th coronation anniversary of the Emir of Keffi, His Royal Highness Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, CON, during which he said in his goodwill congratulated the Deputy Chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of Chief on his his day.


He thanked the Almighty Allah for the blessings of being at the 10th anniversary and also thanked all traditional rulers as well wishers who came from across the Niger including the Atayero of Aramoko Ekiti, His Royal Highness Dr. Adesegun Aderemi, JP, to grace the occasion for showing solidarity and brotherhood to the head of Keffi Emirate.

Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar, a world class multifaceted personality, congratulated the Emir and urged him not to take for granted the mass turnout of Emirs, chiefs, diplomats, politicians and businessmen from all works of life within and outside the country, by reciprocating the gesture and cementing the cord of relationships with his subjects, family, friends and well wishers.
The Sultan assured traditional leaders that he would always be there for them in times of celebration and under any condition as mark of unity, solidarity and commitment as enjoined by Islamic religion and tradition.
The monarch appreciated the Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi Sule, for his support to the traditional leaders in discharging their responsibilities to the people.
In his usual way, he called for prayers for the leaders at all levels to succeed in their mandates.
The Sultan of Sokoto , who is also the Chairman Northern Traditional Rulers Council of Nigeria, wished the Emir Yamusa III many more years of fruitful service to the Keffi Emirate and nation.
In his speech, the celebrant thanked the Almighty Allah, the Governor, the state Council of Chiefs, his own Council and the people for their support.
The Renewable Energy Law expert reflected on the upbringing given him by his late father, the 14th Emir of Keffi, Muhammad Chindo Yamusa CFR, always urging him to stay the course of acquiring sound Islamic and secular education for him to succeed in life.
The farmer and proud leader of the multi-race Keffi Emirate prayed to the Almighty Allah to reward the 14th Emir with Al-Jannah Firdaos.

Other speakers at the event included diplomats from Poland, Portugal and Kenya.
Emir of Lafiya, Hon Commissioner for Local Govt, the State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akaba, representing the Governor and Aliyu Modibbo, Special Adviser representing the Nigeria’s Vice President all wished the Emir well and many more years of service to the Emirate.
The occasion, held in Keffi on Saturday December 13, 2025, was attended by Emirs of Bauchi, Gombe, Hadejia, Nasarawa, Azare and many others.
