“Once you are elected into office, you have then become a leader to all including those who voted against you or belong to other political parties and you must treat them equally. But before some local government chairmen were using their power to deny their perceived political foes their salaries which is an injustice,” he said

According to him, the state was able to save additional N278 million since the commencement of the payment in January this year.

Speaking at the Sokoto-East Senatorial Zonal meeting of All Progressives Congress (APC), Tambuwal urged Muslims to use the fasting period to pray for the quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari, reaffirming his faith on his ability to address all the challenges facing the nation.

In his remarks, APC North-West Zonal Vice Chairman, Barrister Inuwa Abdulkadir, said the essence of the meeting was to bring all party loyalists together and to reaffirm their loyalty to the party.

The Senator, representing the area, Engineer Ibrahim Gobir, described Governor Tambuwal as a great leader.
