We apologise to Nigerians over APC’s failure – Fayemi

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has apologised to Nigerians over failure of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to achieve its promises since taking over power.

The former governor tendered the apology during his appearance on Channels Television evening of Thursday February 6, 2025.

“We must apologise to the Nigerian people. We have not succeeded in achieving everything we promised to Nigerian people,” Fayemi said.

The APC chieftain added that the APC’s inability to achieve their promises is not because of incompetence, “but because there were other structural impediments that have made things more difficult.”

“Clearly we haven’t done enough to make life abundant for the Nigerian people. And for that, I clearly would not hesitate to apologise to the Nigerian people for that. We can do a lot more,” he said.

The APC took over power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015 with the change mantra, promising to end corruption, insecurity and improve the economy.
