We have common goal to free Nigeria from insecurity, ‘The DEFENDER’, ‘This Nigeria’ agree with Force PRO

By KEMI KASUMU

The Spokesman of the Nigerian Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has taken Police media and public relations to a more realistic level as he demonstrates relentlessly to citizens, in word and action, how police is not just friend but also, more emphatically, a dependable ally in the business of ensuring internal security.

Just like other sincere ones in the system, CSP Adejobi, an Osun State prince in South West Nigeria, believes not in seeking a bend from the ethical norms by media and publicity professionals but insists, at all times, that truth be reported about the Nigerian Police Force.

In many of his public statements recently, the apparently most commended Force PRO so far would expect realisation by citizens and members of the Journalism community that the duty towards achieving security and safety in the country is collective responsibility of all.

He also is of the thought that the gallantry effort of officers and men be appreciated and not be condemned without justification, as against situation where some people prefer to take sides with law breakers against security agents, who shield the law abiding citizens from evils of the criminals, all of which are in tandem with the core objectives of The DEFENDER Newspaper and This Nigeria Newspapers, as seen in the moment publisher and editor of the two media companies, Prince Bashir Adefaka and Mr. Mudiaga Affe, respectively, shared with the Chief Superintendent of Police.

The DEFENDER Newspaper, in line with the need to collectively stand against insecurity in the country, has always believed that, when national security and safety of citizens come to the table, “we shall patriotically continue to be counted with the Nigerian Police Force because, we all have a common role to free Nigeria of all forms of insecurity”.

This also resonated when “journalism and national policing meet” as in the case with the top media men of This Nigeria and The DEFENDER Newspapers, who are captured in the picture above with Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in Abuja, on Tuesday December 6, 2022.
