Its congratulatory message is contained in a station issued by Prince Bashir Adefaka, Secretary/Spokesman of the Family, posted on the family platform and dated Monday September 1, 2025.
“CONGRATULATIONS! On behalf of the Chairman/Family Head, Prince Babatunde Adefaka, and all members of The Adefaka Family, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Prince AbdulRasheed Adinlewa Adefaka on the successful celebration of Walimotul Qur’an, marking the study of the Holy Qur’an by his son, Prince Hussein Adefaka. This significant event took place in the Nigeria/Republic of Benin border town of Onse Olose, located in the Ado/Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, on August 31, 2025.

“Completing the recitation of the Holy Qur’an is a noteworthy achievement and an essential linguistic milestone for any Muslim. It serves as a vital foundation for understanding the principles of the Islamic faith. As AbdulRasheed guides Hussein forward, it is crucial to ensure that he also comprehends the meanings behind the Arabic verses. This understanding will empower him to navigate the complexities of life and safeguard him from being misled or exploited under the guise of religion.
“We earnestly wish Prince Hussein success in all his future endeavours. May the Almighty Allah bless him abundantly and grant him greatness among his peers.
“Once again, congratulations!,” the family wished him well.
In the meantime, “The Adefaka Family continues to pray that Allah will forgive all shortcomings, accept all good deeds of their late father, Alhaji Prince Kasumu Yesufu Adefaka, who passed away at the entry point of this year and repose his gentle soul in Al-Jannah Firdaus, Amiin.”
Remembering late patriarch

According to a family source, “Praying for our late father remains a duty for us because the Holy Prophet of Islam said when a person dies, all his actions stop. The only things that still work for him and go to him are one, prayers done by his serving children for him and, two, sadaqayul jariyya that is lasting good work he did and which continues to benefit people, its rewards by Allah will continue to be his companions in the grave.
“May Allah please help keep our father save and expand his grave with bliss till resurrection and make his last place be paradise,” said a son.
